If its not had the belts done thats atleast £500 straight away. 14k isnt the worst ive heard for a service lapse but it should be atleast once a year/12k with intermitted oil changes if your sensible. There must be others around for the same money with more religious maintenance surley?

Same as most cars mate, this could be said for 172's aswell

there the exact same weight as a 172 (1100kg's) except the GTi has 180 bhp so making 166bhp/ton compared to the Phase 2's 155bhp/ton The only real difference is the insurance group with the GTi being a 17 As for handling i couldnt comment, straight line speed will be indentical

I dont think people actually think it is a trophy i think its more for people looking for a trophy in there search because when they do itll turn up this as an alternative to a trophy should it be too dear/not suitable etc Id like to think people arent that stupid anyway lol :o

Very much down to the driver i would think although as stated the astra has more power i dont think the handling set up is quite the same.. I might be wrong but who really gives a hippos testacle?
