Well when you drive hard these stone chips will appear ;)
Yes 4 pots is defo on the cards, early Xmas present for myself :) can get a discount for the hi-spec ones so it's looking like there the ones I'm getting.
Mate, this is one of the nicest cups I seen :)
See you post in my hi-spec thread then see your project thread so thought Id have a little looksy. Very nice. Love that engine bay. Im thinking of getting an rs2 next year and seeing yours makes me want one even more. Well done mate :)
Re: Kieran's Iceberg 172 Project
Same. I had mine done when I first fitted coilovers, but I've changed my ride height since and want to get spacers so I will do it after it's all done.
Cheers, I'll have a look. Probs just have -1 either side.
Car looks good mate :) good progress
How comes you swapped coilovers?
With regards to the decat, can you not tuck the lamda up in the heatshield? That's what I have done, although I'm not sure 182s are different from ph1s
Re: Kieran's Iceberg 172 Project
Have you had the the car aligned since you've done the camber adjustments? I'm thing of of putting a shim either side on mine before I get spacers. Where did you get them from mate?
Thanks for all the input guys.
As mentioned, My car is my daily (may do the odd trackday here and there). I understand the standard setup is ok for my needs, but It's something that I like the idea of and have fancied for a while. I will be in a financial position to buy them so I thought why...
By all means mate :) as with anything, the cost plays a big part.
Many people rate brembo hc's and ds2500, so on the basis of that, that would be my preferred choice, with red calipers.
That's good to know kelv. :) Just got to decide on what calipers to get now.
Has anybody got any pics of hi-spec calipers on there cars for me to view?
Thanks for that kelvin :)
Like said wilwoods was my original choice and I would be ordering them from jamsport if did get them. It's defo good to see they for under 2218s on 295mm and from many reviews I know jamsport over great service.
I guess it was the red calipers that caught my eye...
Thanks for all the info guys.
I was originally looking at the wilwoods but these came up cheaper. I was unsure if the 295mm would fit under the 2118s.
Plus in red they'll look the nuts ;)
Rob, I didn't know they was based there. The site I posted is only in Braintree (40mins from me) but...
Im looking at a set of these for my 182 and was wandering if anybody has had any experience on these? Price wise is there good and also come in a range of colours. Do people rate them or slate them?
They will be going under speedline 2118s...
I had one of these and to be honest I thought it felt sluggier on pick up. Looks nice with the carbon weave but your better off with a panel filter and for more noise just unplug the acoustic valve :)
I did have a v6 air box after the viper and the noise was immense!
Re: Kieran's Iceberg 172 Project
Yep! Around 1/2" all round. :) (up to go up lol)
I was looking at chippin flamer and that looks spot on imo. Think he's 25mm front, 15mm rear off the top of my head. Yours should look good though mate
Re: Kieran's Iceberg 172 Project
First couple of pics with the f1s and I wasn't too sure, but the last one parked up makes up for it :) you keeping them silver or changing colour?
Nice idea on spraying the interior parts too. Gets rid of that horrid grey lol!
This. Im like you, like them with and without. But there only around £15 so not a major loss plus you'll always resell it on here if you don't like it :)
