I have no idea how accurate there timing gear is etc, but so many factors involved like tyres/driver ability/driver weight/weather...
Pretty confident not so long ago when the 182 came out, all the 172 owners who went to the 182 were chanting this same noise.

Its hard to see whats worn because theres not really any sign that they are worn
If you were to replicate it it can be quite expensie as the panels and other body parts are astrenomically expensive from Renault as im sure your aware :(
Maybe get a set of nice wheels and lowering springs, maybe colour code it and just save the cash for a 172/182

The button start/keyless entry is very novel. I drove an older 06 plate one then a 57' plate one with some of the revisions with regard to the gearbox iirc?

Im always very curious of how people react to getting a 197 after being a 172/182 owner. The 5k kick for instance? You hardly have to wait to get it to move. Call me old fashioned (because i own a Phase 1) But there are no flatspots to speak of is there?

Why is it nicer? Because there are more buttons to press and the plastic is made in outer mongolia rather than downtown nagasaki?
