Well lets face it, Tax is expensive on these and insurance is the mitigating factor in alot of these cars, and there not the most economical cars on the road!
Im not suprised that trophy sold for £6500 the other week :o
Absolutley, there good standard but even better with a good coil over set-up. I do miss how low my Saxo sat though it was very convincing through corner speed, (that was lowered 35mm)
Still prefer the 172, its a laugh to drive all day every day!
Took my car here once for a Diagnostic check, think the lad drives a Astra VXR?
Better putting the money towards a full Milltek system or somthing mate
Welcome mate.
I used to own a Saxo VTS and coming to the Phase 1 172 has been fantastic.
As you have had your share of French engineering i think you know what to expect from the Clio Sport, there very capable and can be reliable if you find a cherished example. For £4k you will be able to...

Good write up mate, always intrested to hear its still runing well @ over 100k!
I seen you were thinking of selling if you got the right money? Howcome? :o
How difficult are engine mounts to do? Im thinking about giving it a bash tbh
JUst gonna replace them all and the constant velocity joints aswell, all these parts seem to be made of chocolate :o
Same colour scheme as the Cooper GP for me i think, including the red mirrors. Not sure about the roof though...

You said they tried to rip the black mouldings out?
I was under the impression that the 182's all came with body coloured bumpers and silver RS bullets??
Id still say she will be fine, although if your getting a consistent 25mpg (in all driving id be a little worried)
What are you running her on?
Id fill her to the brim and go as easy as you can to see what the full tank produces?
