Those buttons should be so damn easy to fix. Try popping that panel off tomorrow and have a look, if not, then if I come CSS I'll whip it off and fix the wiring issues.
If I had to guess, I'd say it was some of the wiring/spade connectors coming loose.
Basically, the lock button should lock the doors, unlock should unlock, hazard should work (I know someone after me broke it and I explained how to glue it back and fix it).
It should all light up but the...
Oh, and why do you think the ICV is at fault? Throttle sticking when pulling up and it's warm? It loved doing that to me before I lightly sanded the inside of the body with super high grade paper and cleaned the living hell out of it. I also fitted a new throttle cable.
Dayum. I still love it.
What's up with the interior conversion? After I got it working, I know a few of the next owners dicked with it a bit..
All it needed when it left me was some white stickers making up.
The heated window button should be "unlock" padlock on it
And re-circ should have a...
Roaming is now mobile data? f**k me I've heard it all now.
Maybe if Ginger was in Spain, ffs!
I THINK what he means is...
If you go settings > cellular > is mobile data on and "enable 3/4G"
And if you click "cellular data network" are there settings there? Or is it all blank?
Do you mean Angel works? As in the guy off of here?
See that's the thing, surely after say, I don't know, five years, you'd have the experience to go and setup alone?? And surely not everyone treats their staff the same.
As above, are you choosing to leave? If so, you're mental if there's a position there.
If I could go and do that tomorrow, and get paid no different to what I do now, I'd be there tomorrow.
I'd love cleaning them, fixing them, the learning involved. Just everything.
iTunes has got f**k all to do with your internet connection Ginger.
Have you turned it off and on again? I assume your old phone is off, and not been turned back on?
If you've got internet at home, type your iTunes password then, although I'm not sure what relevance it has to anything
Hate the break it to you, but that's your laptop, not your phone.
Just to clarify, have you got both wifi, and mobile internet working on your phone now mate?
Re: E36 Track Day Hack (v2)
I've only read the last two pages, but I'll go back a little later and read the lot. Awesome work Jord, loving the brake cooling. and the general engineering feel of the whole thing!
He does, but it's mentally long.
Someone..... ? has changed the login details on his router so I can't get in and change the poxy thing to potatof4ce99
PMSL, in the Ginger's defence, having created about 10 backups (randomly of either phone, that were both named the same (marvellous)) he had managed to gain a corrupt backup somewhere along the line. I resorted to deleting all prior backups from iTunes, creating a new fresh one, restoring...
Right, you have two choices...
You can install the program I linked you to, this will let me control your computer for half hour and sort it right out.
Or, I can type a "from beginning to end" quickly for you?
It's for the same reason we don't have signs on pavements stating "please put one...
Right, but are you selecting the right backup???
If you've been backing up the new phone when you've plugged it in, then restoring that will just restore a new phone.
When you select "restore from backup" make sure the date and time is when you plugged your OLD phone in last night and...
FFS.
If you're plugging the new phone in, and "backing it up" then no wonder you're getting nowhere.
You're restoring from your brand new backup, of a blank phone... :/
If you want actual help, install team viewer and I'll fix it.
FFS. You sausage fingered yokel, stick to tractors.
Ignore the phone, restart the computer, open itunes, plug the phone in.
FROM THIS POINT FORWARD DO NOT LOOK AT THE PHONE ANY MORE.
Right click and click "restore from backup" as we said. Purely look at the computer screen, read what it...
So what has a wifi password got to do with anything?
On the computer, it should tell you when the last backup was, does it say last night?
A common n00b mistake is to plug the old iphone in and just "sync" it, not back it up, and then expect the same result.
Right then, desparate measures, download and install this:
http://www.teamviewer.com/en/index.aspx?pid=google.tv.s.uk&gclid=CJOgl431rb4CFRQbtAod0hQA3w
then PM me with your ID number and pass code thing.
I'll do it for you remotely.
Ok, so when you did your backup last night, what exactly did you do?
Plug it into laptop, open itunes, right click "back up iphone"
If that's the case, plug the new iphone in, open itunes, right click on the iphone, click "restore from backup".
If you backed up over wifi, then it's a...
