to test the alarm, sit in it & arm the system, wait a few seconds for it to set, then wave like a madman, if its got an alarm, it'll go off. Most (most - not all) Uk car's red alarm led's were located next ot the gear stick.

Ultrasonics should be located at the top of the door pillars inside, good way of telling if there's an alarm. Temp gauge is in middle, along with the petrol gauge
