I cant but help drop in a legend quote every now and then!!
One of my favourite quotes of all time is homer when he says "Look lady the car was upside down when we got here!! and as for your grandma well she shouldnt have mouthed off like that!!"
Think of it like this a guy puts a gun to my head and says he going to kill me because he feels like it. I manage to talk him out of killing me and he aims the gun at someone else's head. Do i play the hero and try save this guy risking both our lives or do i thank my lucky stars im still alive...
I would say its morbidly obese of you to suggest he wouldnt take the necessary steps to rectify the issues surrounding the legality of the motor vehicle in question before releasing it for sale to the general public.
And if he doesnt your suggesting that i care? i'll leave a stop on that high...
I wont be adding any more details at any point as ive come to an arrangement with the seller that i believe we are both happy with. Its been an enriching experience but not one i would welcome again in the near future.
Ok so basically ive had a very sobering 36 hours the end result of which has left me feeling very very lucky indeed. On Wednesday evening we bought a 53 plate Dci 65. We had been to see it before to test drive it and of the 3 we had viewed this was the best. During the sale we were shown a HPI...
I agree!! if the inlet manifold wasnt covering the sparkplugs i bet it would have made a mess of the bonnet!! but in the same breath if the inlet manifold didnt cover the sparkplugs it would be a hell of alot easier to check if the plugs are tight enough lol.
Im afraid i cant help other than...
The chance of the thread being ok is very slim i would say. The plug would have wobbled loose then under pressure taken a portion of thread with it, i cant see it working itself completely loose then firing itself through the ht lead. But im just going by the state of my ht it was destroyed and...
I had this exact problem!! i had the thread helicoil'd, replaced the ht lead and spark plug. Had the car back on the road within 2 days costing me little over 100 squid. Fingers crossed most if not all the metal was blown out rather than dropping into the chamber.
Yea maybe in your dreams you'll get 2k for a complete engine with running gear. Im not paying more than £0.5k with delivery Pm me your card details and i'll send you the money.
Thanks
Dave
The guy sounds like he's on crack to me "Ideal car for New Drivers, Very Economical on Fuel, Cheap on insurance and road TAX" i would personally only buy this if i was going to break it for parts. Cat C 2002 Clio that needs the belts done this year is worth next to nothing infact i would pay to...
Having spent a grand replacing a box outside of warranty i would advise speaking to renault about the problem you are having before the warranty expires.
My 182 never had this.. im pretty sure that red line aint healthy either!! but if that worries you i suggest you dont look under the inlet plenum at all the oil mysteriously gathering that should be inside your engine :)
As much as the Eibach camber bolts would allow. So too much but the turn in was so addictive i couldnt be arsed to change it, also i was on 15's so Parada's were 30 quid a go. Camber bolts will obviously increase tyre wear but if you stick with 1.5 im sure you'll be fine.
When i put camber bolts on i got through a new pair of Parada's in 3000 miles :D but to be fair i did dial in a bit too much camber!! front end grip was awesome mind.
What you cant see is the bottle of whisky being fed intravenously and the 12lbs beard of bees he's been wagered to wear!! does well all things considered :P
