You're obviously pretty new to this sort of stuff and that's cool! We all have to learn somewhere! :) Google "heat soak" and "Induction kits" you will soon learn the pros and cons of the cone filter v panel filters v proper induction kits/systems.
I personally rate panel filters/closed air box...
If it was that simple they would make the throttle body massive to let loads of air in if it helped fuel economy and didn't effect performance. The best thing you can get is a panel filter from the likes of K&N/Pipercross/RamAir for the standard airbox.
I recognise that s2 indigo rallye from my time over on the RR! ;) lovely looking Clio, I couldn't believe it took me so long to make the move either, Clios are brilliant!

Terrible start. I would be taking it back and asking for my money back! Hate it when people sell dodgy cars and screw people over. I thought I had a raw deal with mine and the little issues I found. Hope you get it all sorted.

I needed an iPad for work, travel to London and to different universities regularly with my job and the iPad Mini with ret was my choice because it fits in my laptop bag better and it's big enough to not miss the other inch over the Air.
If it was mainly used at home, I would get the Air.

£60 seems fair, will only take an hour to get it all sorted. Took me 2 hours to do the suspension coils on my clio, on the drive and I would say an hour of that was sitting in the sun drinking tea and eating biscuits! ;) Track rod end should be a matter of minuets but will mean you need the cars...
Catch tanks are easy! Fit your DIY induction kit (I'm contemplating one, routing it down to behind the front N/S wheel!) and then run a hose from the rocker cover oil breather nipple to the catch can, and then fit the oil breather filter to the other catch can hole! See my paint diagram!

haha. I get what you are saying, and I'm not defending the OP, my initial reaction would be to cover the break and stop if I spotted the situation developing, not go for the gap! BUT...you weren't there, non of us were! Its easy for us all to say "the OP dropped the ball here, lets all flame the...
You are all talking as if this all happened over a matter of minuets. the chances are the van entered the roundabout unexpected at a point where the OP was left with very little reaction time. Leave it up to the insurance company or even the courts to decide if its a 50/50 or total blame...
Car wont be ready for this Sunday, tracking and tyres need sorting.
Sunday after im away camping with the Missus
Brothers wedding the week after
Then its the Big Cambelt and Dephaser service...
2/3/4th of May would be my vote...give people plenty of notice to get the cars sorted and time to...
@TomSx - I had success with something called Gunk at cleaning off my inlet manifold. Alloy Wheel cleaner and a harsh agitator brush will do a good job as well.

haha, I was only looking at doing the triangle...but then fancied a blast through Gwydyr Forest Park as well. Not sure when is going to be good for me at the moment, and I have tabled the route over on the 106 rallye register, see if a few of the chaps from there are interested as well. Might...
I love a good detail! TomSx, you will find the car will look clean for a few more weeks, and in a months time it wont need much to bring it up again. A good wash and dry with the right towels and products and a coat of glaze/sealant with some tyre/wheel dressing will be all it needs really as...
Went out to change this today...
was planning to put this on with a standard filter for now...
Not to much surprise the previous owner has butchered the elbow to fit the hideous piper cross..
gave up at this stage. Will get my self a new elbow next month when I order the pioercross...
Nightmare! I would just grab a scabby wheel off eBay and sling it on for the MOT tester. Should only be a quick 2 min job to swap them. The MOT tester seems a right jobs worth!
