well it was very similar to 60 anyways, after that the 1.6 power comes in but with the weight of the mk4 and only having 120bhp a 75bhp clio is similar to 60!

a mate had the 1.6 fsi, i swear in a straight line my 1.2 clio was very similar....

as said though, a clio flat out on coilovers can be a bit scary at times unless you are on a very smooth road.

On a serious note, coilovers and a descent brake pad/discs setup are the way forward on a 1.2!

Its been over a year since i was repairing laptops but AFAIK you cant buy just the connector. Motherboards for acres though are one of the cheapest to get so you may be able to get a brand new motherboard for under 150quid!

how broken is the socket? If its just that it has been broked from the motherboard then you wil be able to strip the board out and get it re-soldered
