ull need the alignment checking yes. most tyre place or garages should be able to do it (carlton can). dunno how much it costs mind wouldnt bother with corner weighting imo - un-needed expense

its not new laws but a MOT tester would have to be anal to pick up on it mine doesnt have anything else on it apart from the reg. As long as its easily visable then it'll be fine

cant help but agree (and i have a 1.6) may as well just keep urs (assuming theres no problems with it) and buy a 172 a little way down the line. You may end up with a dog of a 1.6 and wish u kept ur 1.2 and for a little extra speed, personally i wouldnt bother

2 hours to change a sensor and run a check? did they get a woman to do it who couldnt undo the sensor? does it run rough or just "slow"?

not sure the dash read out should be trusted all the time. can be such a pain in the ass getting the dipstick out. not only do you have to contest with the lack of room but once uve wedged ur hand down there it seems to get a bit "sticky" if it hasnt been out for some time

no its at the bottom of the shock where it bolts onto the car the tops are all the same you'll probably need to measure it to be 100% although we could give u a good idea if u tell us the engine size/year

that cant be right. taking it easy my 1.6 16v (pretty much the same engine) would get about 40mpg easy

f**king useless coils! super common problem and most garages recommend you change all 4 if one goes as they will probably go 1 by 1

yeah they will strip them right down and sort them out. after a refurb they will be as good as new :)
