PLUS STOP DREAMING ON PRICE THIS CAR HAS HAD IN EXCESS OF £30,000 SPENT ON MODIFACATIONS
Hmm. Looks like he needs to learn that totalling up the price of mods doesnt equal price of car..
That would of been great if it was subtler, wheels and paint are great, and of course the engine :D

Well David was saying he wanted 110-120bhp for the 1.2 16v. Thats without intercooling. It would need a worked on bottom end of though, and the gearbox would be a worry too. Combined with the normal bolt ons youd have a hot hatch on your hands, remember the 1.2s weigh over 100kg less than a 172...
AP racing do a kit for the valver, problem is the wheel they used was a 15 inch compomotive (renowned for taking bigger brakes than normal wheels)
Its a 4 pot kit with 295mm discs.

Thing is what emissions test are we on about? Is there like a pre-92 one? So all cars without a cat can pass that an be ok? Surely all non cat cars fail the most recent emissions tests..?

Id argue that the build quality is not good personally. Mine developed a sort or rust look, k-tec polished the whole exhaust for me but its come back. I can only guess that the quality of stainless isnt quite up there with the best, i can appreciate the steel will oxidise but not this quickly...
The BBPT ones are NOT dust sealed. Which means caliper rebuilds! You have to pay extra for the better ones which k-tec use as standard. I question if either are worth that money though, id check if brembo/ap racing etc. do off the shelf kits as well.

The turbo isnt simply a rumour..i was told face to face. I think someone is planning an R5 conversion. At the end of the day it requires some crazyness to decided to spend thousands tuning a 1.2 instead.
Fred has proven (presuming he had 75bhp to start) he has got an 11bhp gain with a filter...
Thats made that your output is 100bhp per litre!
Anyway, you can get a universal kit for the viper i believe. Im not sure how different the 8v is the 16v, but k-tec will be bringing out a turbo before the years out. If you feel like wasting money you could get headwork, machine the throttle...
I would say Hayward are undoubtedly the best exhaust fabricators in the country. Just go to their place if you can, the process is excellent. I wouldnt get involved in all the supersprint hype. The trade off is of course price, but thats the price of quality.
Quicksilver also do great...
