if you want airbags and to look oem why dont you source the tiny phat wheel of f the clio 197 and put it in ? im sure probably fits, failing that laguna GT has a good wheel and i belive its just a slighltly modified MKII clio wheel with better materials and better looks + smaller.

but 197 wise there avaliable that way for £12995 bog standard spec.
id wait for a cheper lighter cup version it will get the cup pack as standard...
its the gearing that does it.
the clio 138 (140ps) weighs the same, has the 2.0ltr in it but has taller wider spread gearing, it can do 35-38mpg ! just like the 197 should and doesnt boom on motorway.
if they sorted the gearing out the economy would be better and the boom on 60-70mph would be...
looks mint, i know someone didnt like subframes but they look military mate. all looks perfect ! DTM type seats. and the trim fits wit alcantara.

mods class as restoration or projects ? classic cars restored get more.
thing with mods is you dont buy them to sell the car, you should buy them to make up for the areas your car lacks or areas you would like to personalise.

you pay £4-5k on a cliosport you really pay £6-7k to get it sorted out.
i future you pay £2-3k for cliosport and you will again spend 5k to sort it out.
as one guy said, it balances out, no point getting a bargain if its faulty. but then again its very hard to tell either way.
