Well it cost me just over a grand to have the springs, wheels, tyres, balancing, valves and fitted. Off the top of my head the springs (Eibach Pro Kit) were around £120 and the fitting was £50 (but that was for everything).

Stuart - Speak to a guy there called Paul as he is usually the most knowledgable. Thats where I got my car lowered and the ACEs fitted. I can vouch for the fact they are good.
The V6 is Adrians but he also has numerous other cars like a BMW X5! So hes not short of money!

Well I got mine from R-Tec in St Albans but the UK Importer is a company called Autopart (I think). The phone number for them is 01268 560126 but I had to wait 6 weeks for mine. As a last resort R-Tecs number is 01727 790100 and Paul is a safe bet and usually the person I speak to.

Oh my god....you do spout some utter b****cks dont you! Why do you think the 172 revs to 7000rpm....maybe becuase you can use it. As someone else said the VVT doesnt kick in until 5000rpm when things go mental.

How did you say the front bottom grille comes out again? Does it unclip top and bottom?
Yeah you wont ever get that lovely burble that they have until you put a flat four engine in your Clio! Unless you record it and put it on a loop with some external speakers!

Right the problem turned out to be what teady suggested. Oil had got into a absorbing pad that sits on the inside of the sump guard and basically was dripping out of it. They removed it and it has been fine since.
The reason they didnt change the air filter is becuase they didnt have one in...
