Just a quickie..
Is the 30bhp gain you generally get from ITB's noticable? Doesn't seem like a lot for the £2500?
Presumably you will gain more if you were cammed as well?
Tom
having just moved out with my other half we are in the same boat. we sold the sportka to get a clio dci and i am downgrading my 182 to a ph1 172 to free up some cash.
hope this helps
its not black, but you'll struggle to find a car thats been looked after as much :)

thanks for the comments guys
about an hour after starting this thread i got a call about the girlfriends KA so fingers crossed he'll have that, he's coming this afternoon
looks like i'm going to have to lower the price of the 182 then. I did have a look around and i thought i was pricing it...
At the moment we are selling both our cars but we are not having much luck.
I've got my 182 FF up for sale with 85k on the clock for £4400 and my girlfirends sportka with 35k for £3300.
Ive not had any interest in the 182 and only 2 people half interested in the sportka.
I have them both...
i wouldn't worry about the mileage if its got the history to back it up. Mine is on 85k and i'm doing about 25k a year. Mine has the history to say it has been looked after and (touch wood) runs like a dream
thanks for the comments guys, i do like the sound of ph1 as it frees up more money for mods. I'm also starting to prefer the looks of a ph1. I also REALLY fancy a sunflower yellow model!
My next car is going to be made into a track car but would would you say was the best base to work from:
172 cup
OR
ph1 172
Which is lighest in standard form and which can be made lightest?
