Im not being harsh ( i dont know the right spelling either). Its my honest opinion, so therefore i cant be wrong.
The clio looks good without the extra bits, thats why i bought mine in the first place.
Who cares about tuning, im assessing the standard car. Point is the clio 172 is the better...
A standard willy did 0-60 in 7.6 and 121mph top speed. The BHP per ton difference is is 6 bhp less than a 172 (155bhp/ton. Obviously, on paper the 172 is faster though in the real world it would probably depend on how good the driver is, though the 172 will have better tyres as standard.
Cool. Youve put evil thoughts in my mind! If i still decide on a 172..ill be looking at about 210/220. Id need an extra 20bhp to beat the power to weight of the cup, then a little bit more, just for the hell of it.
Only if you represent Diff with tall and ugly. It looks good because it has a spoiler and a nice set of wheels. Top gear proved that with a lada. ;)

Id get a sub, so pikey scum wont break in when they see your 6x9s. Just get some comp spec mid rangers so you get a good balance. Revs have just done a 6.5inch review. This combo would drown out 6x9s

K-tec do a spring and shock kit for £233 inc vat. They also have a spax version for the same price. Expect 20-40mm, not much more for the price. Bargain in my eyes though. You could always get some springs and get renault to fit 172 shocks
