i had a similar problem , on a 1.2 i had ,revs use to drop wen i put the clutch in, and had to rev the b****cks off it , to get it going again,..no horrible nose though m8, my ended up being the throttle body was carboned up to death and just need washing out ,and cleaning up, hope this helps???
EDIT sorry it wasnt a new wiring loom, £113 they sold me ,they just repaired the loom that goes to my injection computer, most of been 1 wire that had failed so they repaired it , that was the £113 bit, anyway got mi wheels back on the road again,

olly my clio182 has been off the road for 13 days, i got it dropped off at renault yesterday 9.00am and they phoned me up at 3.00pm saying my car wouldnt connect to there dianostics ,so they said to me they were gonna try anew wiring loom £113 that was yesterday they still have my car now, so...
its going into renault in the morning so wont be able to try ,as its getting picked up about 8-9ish, in a way i'm made up a little hoping they can find the problem, but i'm also hoping its an easy find , and an easy fix too :S.

wont start , immobiliser light is on ,so wen i'm trying to turn it over, its doing nothing, just the little click u hear wen ur wipers come, iv got 2 keys so iv tryed both, had an auto elecy out to it, but my ecu wouldnt connect to his michine, so he just unclipped it , n said renault job that...
thankfully iv bought a ecu, uch, pick up ring, keys x2,
but just would like to know how much renault would charge for all these parts,
plus fitting + re-coding it all back up,
what do u think around £1,500.......??
clio is off to renault on thursday morning, so they can hopefully find the fault, i'm just praying its not a new ecu i need, i say that because of the auto elecys dianostic's would'nt read my ecu,:dapprove:.
will keep this thread updated , for anyone that has same problem,

well the title says it all,
i was out in the clio last sat night, wen i went through a huge puddle
but the car didnt miss a beat, and drove another 30 miles,
got back to were i live and called in at the shop, car started fine,
then drove to a mates and went it for 20 mins, then car started...
m8 im aving the same problem but key will open mine , but wen tring to start it , immmobiliser light is on , and wen i turn the key nothing at all .....

Take a day off work m8, and get your self over to the birchdown lads, they do a top job, plus they will probily give you the use of there van, they lent it me when i took my 182 to them,
45 from my end chorley cake ,onto the m6 and your soon there, and a few hours , well about 5, ur on ur way...
nice colour monaco , yours looks so nice and tidy n clean, there are some really top lookin monaco's on this site, myself if i had 1 ie monaco, i would have mine on coilovers for starters, then some 15'' anthracite coloured wheels 2118's or turinnis , trendlines seats , a good exhuast system...
my m8 phoned up , a bloke said that he didnt have paper work to show that the cam belt had been done, and said his mate had done it for him, he said just look at the nuts on the cam belt cover, and that will show its been done, it no service history, just a few M.O.T's , so we asked him the reg...
were it leans over abit, my miltek did just the same,and i had no prob's whats so ever, and your flange looks ok (:D),
but i would send it back were it looks like its had a wallop, get em to swop it,.........show us ya flange baby.
