^^^ 30mm on the front is the maximum. After that it's impossible to stop the rubber contacting the rear arch fixing while in a tight bend. Even with these had to roll back the arch liners to the metal
Use up the old shocks and upgrade with the gmaxx's. A lot of people say they get sick of the low spring/stock shock combo before they bust up. Personally I'd save for some coilovers. Which I've seen at the lower end of £400
I've got some alloys and fibre glass with some refurb/flattening needed. Also want to smooth over some chassis welds in the engine bay.
Anyways my question is what should i use? I've not used either knifing putty or liquid metal before. And just want to know what's more appropriate for each...
I'm sure this has been asked before but I'm looking to convert the tailpipe on my 172 to a 182 twin pipe.
Not looking for a full exhaust as I'm happy with my own mix&snatch custom but would really like to get some pipes to connect my current back box to the trim on my 182 bumper. Will upload...
Renault engines are dry clean only! Didn't you read the label?
But seriously I wire brush all my engines and plasti dip them. Doesn't always last long but when it peels off you're still left with a clean engine
Need to know a little more about the lowering springs. Eibach are known for excellent quality suspension but underwhelming visual changes (especially with lowering springs alone). Shocks and springs are all you need really. As long as they're seated properly and the two components aren't...
Pics would be great. Is the oil inside the air filter? You'll want to find exactly where it's coming from. Anything in the coolant expansion is bad. The only sure fire wAy of diagnosing a headgasket failure is a combustion test. Never done one myself but they are pretty much fail proof. If It is...
Ive never been so disgusted at censorship than today. I'd expect Ferrari to pull a PR knife trick but for renault to tune up a trophy just for tv is just desperate. My old cup still did 142mph and 185bhp with minimal mods at 120k miles on the clock.
Don't have any photos but there are three holes in the lamp for bulbs. The indicator is the smallest and highest. The headlight bulb is directly beneath it. It's usually protected by a rubber seal that's pulls straight off.
The arch liners should fit fine on non sport suspension provided they haven't been rolled or broken. The fixings under the skirts need to be tighter before you put the actual skirt on. It should be quite a struggle to put them on for it to be a decent fit.
Better to take the bumper off. There's two screws holding the badge & surround to the bumper. Last time I saw someone pry it off it snapped the badge in half.
I have a ph1 172 exclusive that may or may not have had an engine swap. The engine has definitely left the bay at some point but there seems to be missing components.
Just wondering if anyone can help a newbie out and identify them. The first is on the off side just in front of the windscreen...
Not so good with photoshop but I can tell you adapters will be a massive pain in your as. You can try performancealloys.com for good quality adapters. But 4x100-5x130 adapters will be expensive. Probably £140-150 per pair. Don't be tempted by the cheap non alloys on eBay. Buy cheap, but twice...
I have a 1.2 mk2 ph2 clio that I've pretty much converted into a 182 (engine, body, suspension, the lot). The only thing that doesn't look like a 182 on the car (aside from the spare wheel well) is that bloody sunroof. ive had a lot of knobs taking the piss but I really don't like having that...

I have a pair of h&r 15mm spacers. New and never used. They fit my mk2 with 40mm drop coilovers. Haven't tried with stance/show style lowering but there's still a good 15mm gap.
I have a pair of lexus style rear lights. They look genuine with all the road legal and manufacturers marks on the lamp but they leave a little more gap than the stock lights I have on atm. Anyone had this problem with lexus lights? isn't a huge gap but I'd rather pay more for a flawless shape...
I've done a total of 9 sets of wheels in my time. 5 of which were spray can jobs, 4 were done the proper way. Honestly, the difference isn't that amazing unless you are going chrome. With cans you are looking a 2-3 cans of primer and the same for paint and finishing lacquer. With about 3 hours...
A week ago my local Halfords autocentre decided that I didn't need a N/S/F spacer to stop wheel arch rubbing on my clio and actually bent the hub where the wheel sits. Currently have some aftermarket rims that JUST about fit over the f**ked hub. But the H&R spacers I was using to stop the wheel...
I'm trying to remove the ac switch panel to replace the leds and wrap the panel but I don't want to remove the whole lower dash. Is there a quick way to get it out with as little hassle as possible? And forgive my retardedness if I'm missing the obvious
VERY unlucky I'd say. Sadly I have done a phase 1 to phase 2 conversion (although I notified the next owner). Some slightly less trustworthy repair shops and dealerships will sell you modified front end parts to accommodate the newer headlights, wings and hood. An easy way to check is if the...
Anyone have experience with wrapping clio 03 interior pieces? Specifically the door card trim. I'm having difficulty with the speaker covers. They're an awkward shape to begin with but my problem is the wrap won't stick. I've prepped them with spirits and wipes and dried them prior. I tried rub...
