New set up has arrived!.just waiting on the rear damper conversion kit.Hopefully tomorrow
•BC BR Coilovers
•Custom Coilover covers
•Rear Damper conversion kit
Haha like me mate,im shite when comes to maths etc @Mr Underhill
Is there anyone i can ask about this?.just want to make sure i get the right spring,as dont want to keep trying etc
Yeah it is,but the fella doing the conversion said about the rate.Because of the "That's where it gets complicated as there's a lever ratio to factor in on the rear axle"
Im not set on that rate yet,so would be good to see what others think.I know when mark got his,he put on 225lbs.But his bc's...
Also to add, just orderded the rear spring conversion to make it a full coilover set up.I have been recommened to use 170lb springs with this conversion

So bit of an update and change of things.Met up with @frayz during the week to catch up on things.Frayz kindly let me take out his well set up 182,it drivrs so well, funny thing is both of our cars are pretty identical with mods.Apart from his superb asts, which then got me thinking thats what im...
I went with what the recomened to me for just road use and what other mods i have on my car.
Ordered the BR series 4.5kg F/6kg Rear
Ive got a pms rear arb also to fit, worth fitting that on also?.
@Advikaz
Would you say 6kg to low on the rear?.
I think i will just get either kit and then go from there,if not happy will just change the springs. Thanks gents👍🏻
Reply back from BC
"The BR Series would be more suited to road use, the DS would be more suited to track use due to the digressive damping, in terms of spring rates I would still recommend the 4.5/6kg/mm kit"
I think i will go with the BR series then, but still have doubts on the fronts being...
No mate it wont be going on track,i did look at the BR kit but are the DS series not a bit better of a damper with the digressive valves?. @Mr Underhill
I spoke to mark @Jekyll and he had BR with 4kg F & 8kg R.
I drove @frayz clio today with ASTs and drove lovely, but i think he has custom...
Thats what im thinking at the moment,as the b14's have 7kg on the front if i remember,so like you say 6kg could be good.I know i can change the springs if i need to,but the dampers are valved to suit the spring rate and can only be 2kg up or down.So 6kg rear would be ideal?.as the rear is...
Looking into the BC DS Coilovers as they have the better digressive valving dampers,These will be just for a fast road setup.
Anyone running these with a low spring rate for road use,ie 5/6/7kg? and even changed the rear springs for something lower as they come at 8kg only.
Thanks mate, still not sure on what i want to do.I dont need the 5 doors,so would prob go for the 265 if i do.Question next is what would i put the 182 up for along with loads of parts and oe seats i still have.
