    Decat & trackday noise limits

Does anyone know what kind of difference a de-cat makes in terms of decibels gained? My car Currently comes in reguarly at 95db. Most Circuits have a limit around 100db but some are as low as 98db so I don't want to restrict myself by making the car too noisy if I'm gonna gain 3-4db by removing...

Great day, such a nice circuit. First time id ever been there, looks totaly different on the telly. Apeared ever so narrow on the sighting laps and very tricky but once you get up to speed it has a real nice flow to it and many different corners. Some are proper quick! Kerb hoping the first...

Full cage, what are my options?

Im thinking* about swapping to a full cage over the winter. Really like the look of the ex-cup racer cage that pmurray has in his, would need some work to get the dash or at least some of it back in. Not a problem I dont think. Would I have a hard job tracking one down? Seen the safty...

Not sure if this is the right section but it isnt photography as such. Basicly i need to convert the mpeg4 videos from my pda into something my editing software will recognise. My camera films in AVI fromat so that would be good. Anyone know of a nice peice of software that would do it for me?

    Track videos from fcs

Great track time, was really getting the hang of it come the end, first session didnt really produce much footage worth watching as in the second session I was much faster. I think the wind had died down into the banked corner in the afternoon, as the car felt a little more stable on turn in...

Silly question, Does the water pump (172) turn anticlockwise?

Just double checking ive got my newly moddified belt layout all working in the right direction. Crank, alternator and pas = Clockwise water pump (off the back of the belt) = anti clockwise Thats right aint it?

Heres why you should have your cambelt done PROPERLY!

As some of you will know, at the recenet CS rolling road day my ph1 172 turned out a measly 142.9 bhp at the fly! I always thought that it didnt feel as fast as i thought it should from the day i test drove it. As its stripped i imagined it would be much more lively than it is. I was...

My bumper looks a mess, any sugestions?

The mounting point on both the bumper and the wing are broken and the only way i could get it to sit right was by drilling a hole and fitting a small bolt. Ive seen some cars with bonnet pin style clips on them, kind of making it quick release. could i do this or does anyone have any...

I think Renault sold me the wrong cam pulley!!!

Ive just spent over 230 quid at the dealers buying a cambelt kit and some other bits. im changing my cambelt as looking through the history it was done using a non gen kit at a small local garage. Its also down on power so im hoping its timed slightly out. I thought id get a phaser pulley...
