I had this expect problem on my 172 cup, the alternator bolt had sheared off somehow. I got it fixed by JMS and the bolt from Renault was only about £25 from Renault. And now it is fitted it doesnt squeal at all.

+1 When I had my renewal through Admiral wanted £1100 for the Cup and I had done a quote as a new customer online that same morning and it came back at £748, told them that and they matched it. So never accept a renewal as 9 times out of 10 you can beat it.

I bought the one from K-tec brand new, and it was actually made by Milltek, looks like it's made well, had it on for about 6 months.

When I was looking to buy my Cup last Summer, that garage popped up quite a few times on Autotrader, and there was a cup I saw which didn't look bad in the pictures, was abit overpriced though by about £500. Had a look on autotrader around October/November and it was still up for sale.

I reckon Starter Motor too, mine has gone yesterday morning, Recovery tried to jump start me and it didnt work and I have enough voltage in the battery. You can try giving it a wack with something long as the starter motor is in right a pig of a place, its down the back of the block, underneath...

Just had the Recovery company out, he tried jump starting it and it didn't work, he reckons it is the Starter Motor, he tried hitting it with a hammer but that didn't work either.

If you do want to do things Engine Wise, normal things are, Matched Inlet manifolds, Uprated Panel filter in standard airbox, RS Tuner Map, Exhaust system and decat aswell if you wanted.

Really liking the Yellow Wheels mate, certainly go well in my opinion.

I found that aswell when I had the Kumhos, they were really great in the Wet, great tyre for the price of them!
