Yeah, I've spent half the evening in it. For me it's like ACC but with road cars. Really like it.
Just a few things though
1. The RS3 seems to have some sort of stability control that, even if you turn TC off, will not let you do donuts.
2. The menus run at like 15fps. WTF. Especially annoying...
There's a lad who takes their kid to our nursery in a lovely tidy classic mini. The baby seat fills up a good 3/4 of the back of the car!
Heroic. Well, until he bins it at anything more than 5mph anyway.
So I've spent a bit more time with the Quest 3. I'm happy to report it's awesome.
Firstly, the screen is so much better than the Rift. Resolution and FOV is way better, whilst you do get a bit of aliasing in the distance (I've not really done anything to try and cancel this out yet, it's not...
As you say it’s the LIDAR. If the glass isn’t perfectly clear then the infrared grid shows up on it and the phone uses that as the distance.
I usually find that tapping on the subject makes it realise that I’m trying to see something behind the glass though.
Anyone else found that Steam Link/remote desktop (through Jump for me) has stopped working lately with the monitor switched off?
It used to be that it would keep pushing out a picture anyway, but now I just get a black screen with audio and input working. Annoying when I use Steam Link quite...
I’ve found so far that driving made me quite sick but I’m hoping that’s just the Rift S being quite primitive.
Flying is just awesome in VR. You need it anyway really as most combat aircraft have some form of helmet mounted display to shoot where you look, but everything is just better in VR...
I think it was just the best they could achieve at the time. Remember VR headsets are evolving.
Yes. Steam Link for example. I'm caving and getting the Q3 as we speak lol.
I'm really close to convincing myself to go for a Quest 3. Apparently the pancake lenses are far far better than Fresnel.
I find it infuriating using the fresnel ones because a lot of what I do is down by my side and short of turning my head 90 degrees right and tipping it 90 degrees forwards a...
Fairly simple tutorial here;
Obviously you both have to have the same mods and mod versions, CSP version I don’t think is strictly necessary but worth having the same to rule out any compatibility issues.
Honestly I wish I had the free time these days to commit to doing online stuff - there's lots of great championships out there and there's plenty to do, but I tend to have time to just jump in and hammer about for 10-15 mins these days and not much more. Open servers can be a bit dicey so you're...
Well, first, I know you're using Content Manager, but are you using the patreon version of Custom Shaders Patch and Pure?
But for free content, there's no better place to start looking;

You can use filters to see most...
Worth trying it without VR.
If you're on the fullscreen loading screen then everything has been downloaded so AC is just loading files. I've seen it be quite slow for badly made mod cars before, and some apps have had quite slow loading times, but generally it shouldn't be slow at that point if...
