I was quite fortunate to get a Knipex tool roll of various cutters grips and pliers for £100 brand new. Had them for probably 5years now most of them get used daily and are brilliant.
If you want flush cutters look at Lindstroms they are amazing as well.
I’ve gone from AO50 to AR1 and so far not gettting on with them. Much less front end grip but tbh not had much chance to play around with setup just took some camber off.
I’ve also got a set of the MRF ZTR which I think I will try out for the next round after hearing a lot of good things.
If...
I’ve got one of the cheap Sealey ones and tbh it’s great for the money. A mate bought one afterwards and uses it daily stripping cars at scrap yards and it’s taken some proper abuse in its stride.
Even across the tyre that’s mighty impressive to manage that. I’ve always seen a difference on the Pyrometer on all tyres I’ve checked across the width.
If you have a look even Nankang recommend themselves between -1 to -3 of camber. Personal experience shows that over that they tend to...
Ar1 don’t like loads of camber either around about -3 or less seems to be the sweet spot for them. Clio maxed out on camber bolts will be more than that!
Also as said above by Dan try playing with pressures they like to be lower than you would expect!
Just about enough space to work on the car still. Loads of work crap and spares means it’s always a mess. One day I’ll spend a weekend sorting it!
Be perfect if the roof was about another metre higher so I could have a proper ramp.
And another few metres bigger each way obviously!
Yep same class so I’m taking my P2 as a win 😂
He gets to battle for overall glory as well I guess.
You’ll easily be in the 1.20s with proper tyres my last PB was 1.18.2 with a standard engine.
Who? 🤣😜
1.17.2 now but definitely a low 16 in there with a bit more seat time. I’m properly rusty looking at the sector times.
That thing has some power you see him just drive around me after I pretty much parked it through the esses trying to at least slow him a bit 😂
As above sack of the Race Technology dash. I don’t think I’ve heard many good things.
most of the time it’s people selling them “due to an upgrade”
There are plenty of other options but as you say not cheap. But at least it’s fit forget and enjoy the car. :)
That’s good to know think I’ll use one of the many vouchers they keep sending me.
Be great to have a nice basic loom rather than the mess that Renault have.
Although mine will be a bit more basic than the electronics you’re running. Currently just on SCS Delta 400 and possibly an Aim dash soon
What a great build. Some lovely attention to detail.
How did you find the HPA wiring course was thinking about it myself as want to build a loom for my PH1 race car. Maybe this year of season doesn’t start soon!
