Is there a guide on here how to remove the spacers on the standard 172 seats?
I seem to remember its a case of undoing the bolts and just slipping them out?
Right, I swapped my standard shocks for some koni adjustables lastnight.
All top mounts done up tight, set the hardness to half way all round, and took it for a test drive. OMFG. It was like there was a child with ADHD holding the steering wheels. Skitty, camber grabbing, and generally felt...
Piece of s**t.
Pass side snapped at the caliper, pulled the nib off the end.
Do I need to change both sides at the same time so they level? Do I need to take any heat sheilds off?
Can I be arsed to do this myself?
Havent really done anything to the Monaco since buying it, bar a bit of Di-Noc. I lowered it, but didnt like it, so its back to standard fro now.
However, thought I would treat the old girl to some pics
Well, I had taken it off to check the plugs and thought "when in Rome", so lobbed some primer and matt black VHT on it
Now needs doing again though because the fuel line wasnt clipped properly into the rail and it's pissed fuel all over it, grrrrrr
I am thinking of matt black again...
Just had a quick look and it looks like the lower inlet is perfectly in line with the hole in the gasket
*inb4 stick your s**t pics up your arse*
I'm not majorly clued up on how inlets are matched
:dapprove:
Coming home on the mototrway, doing 70mph, car started to hesitate, management light on. Sounds like a subaru
So, I checked the aux belt, still there, so dont think the cambelt has jumped.
Had a look at the plug leads, they all look fine and seated under the inlet. So, I...
I was seriously considering selling my 172 at the end of March when my bonus comes and getting an Evo/Imprezza/Escort RS Turbo. However, the more I think about it, the more its not really viable.
The clio gives me decent MPG, can take a thrashing, handles well, and is usable as a daily. I can...
OK, I am currently rocking some senheiser ear bud type things. They arent too bad, but just arent loud enough.
b****cks to total clarity, I like my music loud enough to induce tinitus, but would also like a decent bit of bass. Some of the ear bud ones do give good bass, so I dont want any of...

I would hit that TBH, might drop a bid
Guys, just wondered if there is anyway, apart from RR (as we know half of them lie) to tell whether my car has been mapped prior to me owning it?
Its had a full stainless put on it before, but having held off an alleged 188bhp williams, I started to wonder if its been played with a little...
OK, so when I am in the car and its cold outside, it mists up quite quickly. Side windows and windscream mainly. Its even quicker when the missus and nipper are in.
Pisses me off having to have the air con on all the time. Didnt need to do that in my VR6.
Anyway of "cleaning" the aircon unit...
More and more I see of the Phs1's makes me think I want one.
I love my Monaco to bits, but it just doesnt seem "raw" enough now. I'd really miss the auto xenons and the dark carpets though. Saying that, I think the Phs1 dash is VILE. I know this can be swapped, but I guess thats a LOT of...
I first noticed this lastnight. Never really nail it when its cold anyways, but some wanker decided to jump a red light lastnight, making me stomp on the middle pedal.
Well, it felt more like I had thrown an anchor out the window, waiting for it to stop.
Is this a usual trait? I thought only...
OK, I pulled a Nokia handsfree kit out of my VR6 and decided to fit it yesterday.
So I have fed my live and earth up to the battery, and have my speaker mounted on the pass side. I got the mic up the side panel but then failed when trying to get it into the light unit. Is the tork screw inside...
