I bought the 2.5 tonne aluminium sgs one but I'd say it was too heavy for carting about. The 1.5 tonne one is 9 kg lighter though (26-17) so I'd say that would be a good shout, plus it's 90 mm at lowest point

I had my safety devices full bolt in cage mounts welded in by chizfab. I'm happy with the job and price wasn't bad either.

I'm in two minds whether to give this a go or not. I'm going to head up on the 7th Dec I think to speak to the scrutineers and see which class I'd be best suited for if I decided to go for it. Not sure if I'll still qualify for the road class with having the bolt in cage.

Thanks very much for the replies. I'm just home. In the end I kept the AD08Rs on and they worked very well. I'm more than impressed with them. I got enough heat in them on my first outing and then adjusted the pressures to 28psi front and 26 at the back. This felt better as they were at 34/30...
