@NorthloopCup is that what we talked about ? 😅
It's about time really!
I'm on progress to fit a 197 complete engine in a 172 she'll.
Knowing it has been done before by Mark, I was confident to start working on a loom to accept the 197 cam position sensor/coil on plug/ 197 dephaser and so on...
what is the power/weight regulation on your class ,can you go a bit higher, or you already on the limit ?
looks like you have the upper hand in the corners, but not enough on the Straight ...
Excuse me for my English. it is not my first language, there for I'm not always respond or have the courage to start a build thread.
However, i know the feeling mate...
Having a project car for about 3 years now, with allot of progress go into it, but never started a build thread.
Your project...

i never understand it either, the epas is solid as you said.
maybe it have something to do with the epas have more "blind spot" in the middle unlike the hydraulic one.
as for the rack bushing. once you get the right adjusting, you no longer have that famous knock when turning the steering .
had that problem long time ago.
2 things you need's to do, and the steering becomes better then ever.
first, there's very small rubber in the column where the u joint connect to the rack. just weld it, it's take most of the play, and make the steering much more precise.
second, get the rack...
it will be much better to use 197 head with 197 piston's and cams..
all along alot less work, and the 197 head is far superior then the 172.
food for thought I guess
@GrahamS if i may.
i'm not sure iv'e got it right, for example: pin 15 green, in multiplug 502. going to 225 diagnostic socket.
so i guess 225 is the diagnostic connector right ?
but to what pin it go to ?
what hk7 code means ?
lol sorry if its bothers , really in the middle of connecting it...
