Well its a lot closer to the 1k line on the dial than before.
I plan to plug the Tuner back in on the way home today and see what numbers show.
Possibly.
I will get a new filter medium for the stock airbox this week as the paper filter in there looks a little sad for itself.
I know this thread seems to be me moaning and blabbing on.
But I wanted to let Fastchip know that it seems to be working well now.
I changed from the induction kit back to the standard airbox and drove the 25miles to work.
1. I found that the change between gears was much smoother, felt...
Well.
Some feedback on the Performance map.
The car feels like it has less torque, Pulls less than before, and lower down power is much less.
Motorway MPG has increased (as far as the computer can tell, I will know at end of next week when i refill)
Just seems lackluster for the money i have...
Ok cool.
What's the idle supposed to be after cal file put on?
its idling at 800rpm
drives the same. Kick is still there as far as I can tell too.
Did I do it wrong?
I wrote the ecu file.
then the cal file.
ARGH.
It installed fine on the ECU.
But after when I did the Cruse control test i found that the damn rocker must have been knocked onto ON.
So now that doesn't work.
I have put it into rest mode and now am redoing the entire process again.
Sigh
My father in laws wins.
He had his BMW M5 front bumper stolen.
I had just washed his car. Went to town, 4 hours later I got back and his bumper was gone.
cost £600 to get a new one ; (

Just seen this: http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?599310-RS-Tuner-help-correct-maps-for-cars-running-7300-software
Looks like people have had to update from 7300 > 8200 before and it worked?
That could be the reason why he sent that File then.. Mabey Renault used a 182 ECu and stuck the 172 firmware on it :? As his Cal file is for a 172 but has the 8200 firmware number
is it very bad idea to try and write this 8200 file on it? What will happen if its incorrect? Will it accept a reflash using the backup? After all it is simply a computer with flash able memory lol

Well Tbh i just said
"Hi
As i understand it from reading the help file, If it says its NOT OK then its the wrong software.
Did you send the incorrect software as i read that this one is for the 182.
If you did then im not too happy as your closed till monday and i wanted to get this done this...
