Mixed feelings, glad its not sold yet but equally really want a M3. I've seen a M3 for the right money so still open to offers. Just a reminder that the car was a Cat C. I've got the pictures and really wasnt that bad. Repaired to a high standard. In addition to the list, I have aquired a hybrid...
Crap comparison. Perception is a individual thing and doesn't matter if your not bothered what people think or say. Unfortunately IMO most people are, and car companies use this to their advantage. Unfortunately for Ford and Vauxhall have struggled to shake the negative label associated with...
Same engine in principle so should be....
I havent but engines the same in principle as the Clio (thats why its such an easy fit) so should be about the same.
Would love some, I'm only up the road from you so let me know....
Thank you...
Right, I'm open to realistic offers, I'm off work till 6th Jan for test drives or viewing, and if its not sold by end of Jan, I'll keep it for another year.
I have one fitted in my 197!!!!!! 265 and 250 exactly the same engine. Only difference in Megs was the mapping, spec and RS took the foam out of the airbox.
Might be easier to just go down the route of a return system. So thats modified fuel rail, adjustable FPR, swirl pot, bosch 044 pump, fuel lines and fittings?
Thanks Steve,
My car is a hybrid of clio 197 fuel system, meg 225 ecu and meg 250 engine. All originally are non return systems.
The clio is obviously NA with 3 bar reg that sits in the swirl pot of the sender unit.
The Meg 225 fuel system reg sits on top of the sender and is 3.5 bar but has no...
My current set-up is standard Clio sender and pump with the 250 meg engine and standard 3.5 bar fuel reg on the rail. The pump is 3 bar.
Originally the car made 286bhp on that set-up, then Paul at RST had to fit bigger injectors (630) in order to draw enough fuel to make another 308 bhp. Really...
STILL FOR SALE. If I can't get the right deal, gonna get it through the winter and try again in spring. If still no joy, I'll sort the new fuel system out\remap (so will see 325+bhp and 360ftlb). The calipers are going LY and also I'll go with SteC cooler and bigger pipe work kit.
Incidentally...
Maybe change of plan. Lads turned 17 so thinking....track car 'dad and lad' and what evers left I add to for a German diesel. So if anyone has a track day clio could potentially do a deal.....
Hi Simon....at least you know the interior parts are painted properly LOL
The car is completely reliable. I use the car daily, and have done since August last year with this conversion. As part of my job, I drive from various sites on numerous occasions during the day too. Recently passed its...
Thanks......
its Megane R26 with LSD standard
Cars done around 55k but engines now done around 16k. Conversion been fitted for a year now and used daily....
Just sorting with Rs tuning a modified fuel pump and updated fuel reg. Once fitted and mapped, should see another 20 - 25bhp....
