But would that be any more exciting than the megane engine? Maybe lighter but the loads of torque/low revs nature of the engine would still be there imo

I'm sure I read somewhere that book Pug times are with luggage or a passenger or something daft....there was a big difference between the 106 GTi and the saxo vts iirc so maybe this is still the case? Either way sub 7 seconds in a 150bhp car weighing 1300kg + is pretty difficult imo
My best was a 5.39 @ York. Was pretty much a perfect start and on the graph there was almost no dip when I changed gear...don't think I could do it again without killing my box tho!
