Go used and save some dough. And do local collection. That automatically narrows your search quite a bit. Might stumble across something nice.
I've had KEF ls50 (not worth£), wharfedale, monitor audio, Logitech crap.
Wharfedale nice sound and good value imo
Cheers for advice Rob.
The flashing engine management light only seems to flash on cold starts. When warm it seems to be fine.
Usually the manifold side lambda sensor goes first people say.
I would love to have them on my 182. Can't justify purchasing however. Should go to a trophy owner who really needs em.
Would love to know what they actually feel like to drive though.
Would be nice if those fancy Sachs dampers (or a decent knock off version) were available. I would have gone for them.
I know coil overs are an option, but to be honest, I can't be arsed setting them up properly. Would take me ages to set up properly.
When I did a refresh I went for cooksport springs and (cup dampers) just because they were a touch cheaper than anything else.
Seem good, but I can bottom out with 4 people in the car now.
Previously had eibach sport which previous owner fitted.
Maybe the issue is we have the pedal sensor too sensitive? So it's getting brake pedal signals with just the pedal rattling around?
I really need to change the brake fluid also, probably over 10 year old.
I did manage to have car working very well for a number of years when it was my daily...
Very kind mate. Maybe I'll take you up on your offer.
I went out for a 20 min blast just now and didn't see a single light... Which was nice.
Would your rstuner be able to see old codes ok? Very intermittent these warning lights.
Would very much appreciate some diagnostic help from someone near Crawley if possible. I'm happy to drive to you anywhere in south east England and bring beer tokens with me.
Got a few issues with my 182 that I think a proper diagnostic tool might help with.
1: yellow Engine light in bottom...
I've been struggling to figure out what to do for a few years.
All options appear to be rubbish.
I replaced original Renault ones with Febi ones. Made zero difference to the issue I have.
Maybe OEM Renault ones would solve issue, but expensive.
I'm using cup dampers and cooksport springs...
When you have them fitted I would love to hear your feedback.
Do you think these solid mounts would be too harsh for road use is my main question. Cheers.
The gap between my top caps and turret is around 15mm. Way too much. Car body bounces around on uneven roads (most of UK roads then)
My other solution is the machine some 12mm thick large spacers to sit under the top mount bearings. This would take up that slack hopefully.
Thanks for sharing...
Let me resuscitate this thread.
Does that work without cutting any plastic away from behind speakers? Also how thick would the MDF need to be ?
I'm hoping to get 17cm speakers in without destroying the plastic in doors.
Thanks
There's a clutch on the AC compressor which will go clunk and engage when ac button is turned on. You can actually see it spinning when engaged. Is run on aux belt.
If this happens then you should have enough gas in system. If it doesn't engage there may not be enough gas or a problem with gas...
