Nope. The bolts I took off the car were genuine. Obviously opinions differ, but one would assume that Renault fitted the car with a certain size bolt to suit a particular application. Adding 5mm spacers means the length of the original bolt no longer suits that application. Each to their own...

I'd say no. I put 5mm spacers on a few months back. Had probs with rounding the ends of several of my standard bolts, due to them almost not want to go in far enough to start screwing in. For safety, and the cost of a few quid, buy longer bolts.

Nothing wrong with the Apex. I've had mine on about 4 years. Happy with how they are. The ride's a bit harsh, but no worse than I expected. And I'm an old g*t :)

re the harsh handling; I've had mine on for 4 years. the ride can be improved a little by swapping from stock wheels to 15's (I've got 2118's) with 195/50 tyres. The ride isn't as harsh as some make out. i'm an old g*t and I think it's okay :)

GiffGaff. It's this, but only a tenner a month. Uses O2 too. and their £10 a month goodybag is the only one they do that you can use for tethering. if you need that sort of thing :)
