Why buy a 5k 27" monitor. (when apple finally release it) At 27" and a normal viewing distance, you won't be able to tell much difference between 1080p and 4k, never mind 5k. Unfortunately this is limited by the capabilities of out eyes, unless apple will be selling us new ones :wink:

Fair play! I'm a web developer too, but only use programmers notepad, color detector, filezilla & cs6 and there's no difference between 7 or 8.1 to me!

As previously said, my main qualification lies in Window 7 (MCTS, Windows 7, Configuring 70-680) so surely I should prefer 7 to work with as I know that better. But I just simply think 8.1 is leagues ahead Being a developer, surely you will wan't to work with the latest OS as that is...

Windows 8.1 desktop is EXACTLY the same as the win 7 desktop :confused: You have pinned apps on the windows 8.1 menu, which you can arrange into group with titles etc, which is surely loads better. And then click the arrow on the start menu to view all apps which takes no more clicks than it...

Windows 8.1 is leagues ahead of Windows 7. I much prefer it to Windows 7 (and that's where all my Microsoft qualifications are!!)

MalwareBytes ADWCleaner is also good for removing malicious plugins from chrome etc

Haha same! We only have about 2/3 shared printers. The rest are on our print server! Everyone here seems to leave their PC's on though, so luckily none of them have ran into that problem...yet ;)

Can you take a photo of the connections on the printer. A RJ45 port on the printer to USB into the PC will not work

Share the printer on the machine that the printer is connected too. Then connect to the shared printer from the pc that isn't connected too it

To disable speed step, go into device manager and disable all the logical processor cores. Let me know if that improved things
