Mark - Shame to see you've gone through this mate, but hope its all resolved as you wish. Your comment about the TYPE R has caught my eye... i'll be very interested to see/hear your opinion on them if you go out for a drive in one. I decided to go for a Golf R (RS's were on a 6 month wait so...
One of my best mates is selling his Wide track Impreza STI.
Its recently had a full engine rebuild, rust free, very tidy! For those interested, PM and i'll tell you the price he will take for it as a hassle free sale...
Wow had no idea the mk3 engine's could run so much power!! so the initial 300bhp remap on the 250's onwards was really only scratching the surface??
This im assuming is a daily runner as well as track beast, would make sense to buy the mk3 engine, as forged will require rebuilds in the not too...
Yeah, very well put, agree with that entirely!
Defo going to need another car for fun now though... mate of mine just got himself a stripped 182 and did a track day in it at the weekend... bit jealous and tempted to have a look for my 6th clio now! Although, there is a very low mileage saxo...
Yep, equal length headers does remove the sound... pretty sure thats why Scott's wouldnt make the burble anymore.
I always imagined the Evo 8/9 would be the perfect daily, but unfortunately that just wasn't the case for me. Might be me getting old, i don't know, but it just wasn't ideal in the...
So... off she went to her new owner on Sunday. I got in it on the Saturday night to move it on the drive ready for its collection the following morning and thought to myself, "should i really be selling this"... but as said, needs must. I have no doubt i'll own another in the future, but think...
As much as i loved it, it was just wasted on me.
I drive 20 miles each way to work and back in it, 5 days a week at 50mph, down a very long boring A road usually in back to back traffic. Was costing a lot of money to be used just for a commuter car. In an ideal world i'd keep it as a 2nd car...
Never thought id see the day you were driving a clio, and best of all, on CS.net ;-) Welcome Jephers, now sack off all the above plans, and get some boost into it!:tonguewink:
Dont they just!
i requested my refund on my seat brackets and still waiting for the money to go into my account. All i've received so far is an email from Ross saying it can take a while for the funds to transfer... but nothing official really.
Exhaust looks good mate!
One thing i've...
Yeah me too!
Went out in it last night and had a real good drive. The power has gone from me thinking each time i put my foot down, oooh this is really quick, to now thinking somethings broken or it feels down on power (the usual getting used to the power feeling). Either way, still absolutely...
Oooooh! That looks nice!!! Got any more pics of it, few more not so zoomed in? really interested to see how fitment is as it will save me £100 by using one of them instead of a miltek one when it comes to changing mine. Also interested to hear how your exhaust sounds, great that they are being...
Im not impressed with Ross Sport... i ordered my seat brackets a week ago, they were listed as "in stock" not here still. I paid £10 for UPS delivery too...
Yeah agree with that.. when pushing on in mine at standard power, for a road car i would be happy enough, but then the idiot in me takes over and says go on, its only a grand or so just do it ! Got my quote through from Auto Torque, so now just organising a date to drop it off. Looking like end...
Awesome, id be interested to see what mine would do with just a map.
Got through my first tank and managed 280 miles with the fuel just coming on. Filled to the brim and managed to get 49 litres into it, so the economy on it is pretty much identical, if not slightly better than the Golf was...
Good stuff.
I've just got off the phone to Auto Torque and looking to get the car in at the end of the month. Price break down for servicing work and supporting mods to go to 400bhp will all be detailed on there.
How different do they drive once mapped? obviously quicker, but im intrigued to...
