Enjoyed reading this, such a shame that its not ready to be picked up. The engine looks cracking!
Will be keeping a close eye on this one as we've just bought a 172 for track. Fingers crossed you get it back soon!
Great write up! Looks like you've picked up a really nice one! I picked up a ph1 the other week as a birthday present for my partner but it...needs work to say the least 😂.
It has been over 5 years since I've owned a clio and when I drove it back I honestly said that I could easily...
The front speakers are no match for the rattles of a stripped out clio and as said it won’t make a difference.
As it’s just for some track/stag do fun you’re better off keeping some of the creature comforts..like your eardrums and sanity.
On a serious note, I always found the whiteline ARB to...
Finally back in the Ph1 club after buying the OH one as a track day toy. Hopefully get a few pics up and a progress thread soon, it needs some TLC but it was such a good purchase.
It felt good to drive a RS Clio again!
Here to join the Ph1 not so anonymous addicts.
Looking at one at the end of the week - anyone know anything about or recognise X982 RJC? I think it was purchased from someone on here called Glenn from the Hull area. Should add that it's silver!
Ta!
I've definitely got the bug. I find myself driving just because I enjoy the car and not because I have to be somewhere.
Looks good! Bring it to CSS and we'll have a loud off . Just kidding before Brian or someone scolds me.
Thanks everyone :) she's certainly keeping me busy! I'm so sold on the scooby, can't stop wanting to drive everywhere. Everyone needs to have a go of one!
Ben's been busy hiding the evo in the garage getting it up to his standards so I've yet to drive it! He said that the Evo picks up quicker...
Welcome! I would always have said ph2 but my tastes have definitely changed and I'd say get a ph1 too.
If you want some persuasion check out phase1SR's car.
Love these and that looks to be a very decent one. I'd have loved one but was always told they have reliability issues. Hopefully your ownership will run smoothly though!
I actually managed to play it down to my dad that it was a family car. Then I took him out in it and he told me off before telling me how unfeminine it was.
That's because it's true Dave.
Hurst are brilliant, in fact I'd go as far to say they are the best people I've dealt with when buying a car. Max took the 225 as part ex and it was the easiest transaction I've done. He was also incredibly honest when describing the car before I went to have a look.
I haven't been on here in forever and if the last CS event is anything to go by I'll only know about 4 members!
I think the last time I posted a thread was to say goodbye to my little ITB'd clio (for anyone that does remember it, sadly it is no more). I bought an MX-5 but then found out I was...
Very nice, I've just bought a blob eye STi Prodrive editionand I'm literally finding any excuse to go for a drive. Love the thing and have no idea why I haven't owned one sooner.
A good day I thought although it's a shame about the weather as I didn't get to speak to as many people as I'd have liked. I was too busy arguing with the wind about my wardrobe choices.
Flol, nice, such a compliment. I have only got one though lol.
Lol, it is pretty cool although I reckon she'll be off soon. She sits on the opened back door most nights and last night we caught her flirting :P...
When it flew off she followed it for a little while but just as it was about...
