Then spent two hours (fully aware it doesn’t even look touched lol) Cleaning the engine bay and reverse of bonnet. This was just using an APC and couple of brushes. It will be given a proper detail in due course with steam cleaner etc etc but I just wanted to make a start. I also vaccumed and...
As the new MOT rules state aftermarket HID conversion is a failure (plus wanting this car to be an immaculate Original example) I removed the kit and refitted the originals. And also changed the indicator bulbs while I was at it.
What was unbelievable (to me anyway) was the amount of...
Really easy mate, took me about 20mins start to finish. Can’t even remember how exactly I did it but it is really obvious when you look. Think you literally just pull off the blank then remove trim at rear and reconnect electrics and bolt back in.
Thanks mate, not long now!!
If you ever wanna pop round in the summer and use any of the machine polishers etc you’re more than welcome bud.
I’ve only driven it once since I bought it but once it’s finished it will only pop out on the ocassional sunny Sunday!!!
Finished the garage and then started the suspension change. New rear shocks and Cooksport springs done, just waiting on new set of spanner’s so I can complete the front!
I have never tried anything like this before and realised after taking the wheel off that I actually didn’t...
Hahahaha 😂
Didn’t want to ruin what is fairly decent brickwork plus there is enough light. Did toy with plastering them but wasn’t worth the additional costs really.
I have 6x 1500mm ceiling lights in the front section I’m guessing around a metre or a touch more apart.
And it’s finished! Well pretty much for now anyway lol. I have given it a name, a logo and have an Instagram page (@glossworksgarage) to show off my work.
They are solid had to cut with jigsaw around the pillars. I was surprised by the quality and I think at the min they are £3 something a tile. Only think you'll need is a rubber mallet as sometimes they were tough to fit together but overall brilliant tiles!
Thanks for the kind words guys!
I literally havent a clue but I would imagine not too much.
I have but couldnt find anything perfect at the local stores. The ones they have are too cheap looking if that makes sense so the search continues but I do have some foam tiles if necessary.
Thought...
My own needs and probably friends/family; I have a business so this is just for the weekend but I have an obsession with changing my cars so often have half a dozen a year.
Hahaha  no doubt!
I have so many spare parts for the cup I am waiting for nicer weather and then I planned to photograph them all and try and sell as a job lot to someone to clear a lot of extra space.
🙈
Figure that during mop down and over course of a few weeks they will get dirty and need painting so when that is the case I will paint and sand/fill.
Thanks Pal, the part at the back goes back a couple of meters and is racked with all the other bits and pieces including a tumble dryer for drying the drying towels lol. Just the polishing bits out front.
Very very close to done now! New longer lights are due to be fitted Thur/Fri and if he doesn’t I’ll just do it myself. Then I just need to mop the floors so the little Clio can get back in out of the rain.
Fitted the bolts and made a start painting; my god painting ceilings is draining!!! Plan is get a full coat on then finish filling etc before another couple of coats.
Here you go guys:

Unfortunately I don't know where the lights were from as were supplied by electrician.
Finished the front area for storing the machines and the pads etc etc. Gloss white shelves plus stainless steel polisher holders added.
Right hand door being fitted this evening and frame finished as one part from last week was the wrong size. Then the wall, ceiling, doors and skirts etc...
