Yesterday I went for a lovely 4 hour drive to look at a 172 which I bought and drove back; what a car!
I still have to drive my 1.2 clio until october to get my first years no claims because insuring it before that would cost me far too much.
I bought it from a member on here who loved it but...
I can't say for sure if its true but I've read that you shouldn't use copper grease on the sliders and should use red rubber grease or similar. I'm sure there's someone on here with more knowledge that can confirm or deny but I think it was here that I read it...
Update on my car; this pic is from a few weeks back after a good clean and a trip to Snugburys for some ice cream. Petrol cap has the same marvel stickerbomb as the bits inside.
I've just been given a sub and amp from a friend who's had 3 clio sports and used to be a member on here. Got a wiring...
Looks great, I hope the manager is helpful for you.
I'm not a fan of the wheels personally but nobody seems to like the wheels that I do so that must be a problem with my taste not yours ;) (I like 3sdm 0.05 wheels)
I'm only on my first car which is a 1.2 dyamique from a scrap yard 😂 but I love it regardless and I'm looking at getting a 182/172 in October when i get my first years no claims
Have you checked the connections that go into the back of the headlight unit or just the connections on the bulb holders? I briefly had this problem when I changed my headlights and one of the connections into the back was loose.
From Fenton, live in Trentham now but work in chesterton on the industrial estate by FedEx. If you see a crappy black 1.2 with black badges and 172 headlights that's me 😂
Didn't mean it quite like that sorry, was just saying that a dog could stop someone with a fake gun.
I agree with you though, I wouldn't take any chances in a situation like that; give them whatever they want so they go as quick as possible.
