Agreed, pretty much why I just got one. Very good spec, look good and quick when driven hard.
The good news is that there will be lots of 182's to choose from in the same price bracket in a few years :)
Here here, it's your car so do what you bloody well like with it. I find it amusing that people think they know better than you even though you are maximising it's future value and still enjoying it from time-to-time.
Thanks to you Dawn we will have at least one very well kept Vee on the...
Thanks guys, she's not perfect but I'm happy with the progress so far. The Vee was a forced sale Chris as work is not looking good, I've always loved French hot hatches though and the 1*2 is a natural 2nd choice. Had a Liquid Yellow one last year and loved it, it's also nice to be able to throw...
As you may have seen from my recent thread in Clio Chat, I agonised between a Monaco Blue 172 and an Iceburg Cup as a replacement for my Vee. I went for the 172 and have spent the last few days sorting the paintwork out. Below are the results after washing, claying, polishing and waxing...
Thanks guys, think it was the best all rounder.
With the money I saved, I'm about to order a new head unit. Going for the Pioneer Iphone one which is £230.00 delivered. Looks brilliant and plays video :)
Haha so 3-0 to the Cup then :)
Well I'm afraid I went for the 172 but spent a while deciding. I knocked the seller down £600 plus I love the colour and prefer the alloys. I would have gone for the Cup but the dent in the bonnet and the price difference swung it for me.
Have already done...
Thanks to everyone for their help. I looked at 3 over the weekend and had a hard choice between the silver Cup (discussed earlier in this thread) and a Monaco Blue 172. The Cup was 53 reg, had 60k on the clock and was very tidy apart from a palm print dent on the bonnet and a small scuff on one...
Another good proposition. Certainly is a buyers market at the moment, I'm spoilt for choice. Still not 100% sure I could live with a cup. I like to drive close to the edge but maybe not enough to justify one at the expense of the 172 toys.
Not seen that one yet, thanks.
Going to look at a navy blue 172 tonight. 80k on the clock, cambelt changed and good condition. It's up for £3,200, what do you think? I reckon it's worth closer to £2,750?
