Found a couple of images but am fed up with scanning through tens of sites to find them so this is it;)
We caught this M3 and stuck on its tail hard for the last 3rd of the lap:) Couldn't get past as my engine is weedy on the straights;)
Also, the "driveshaft" noise that I was getting on...
Oh there are many hours needed to complete the cage to a high standard I agree.
I used to do abit of ally TIG welding at college years ago and ever since have done none but just recently I now have a TIG welder so like yourself, I can practise and get better once again. I will hopefully be...
A friend of mine but really his work is amazing. He makes fuel tanks like yours and rads all the time. His business is A.S Heritage.
I have a long way to go yet so yes you're right, it takes a very long time and everything that you expect to take 5mins, just doesn't!
I have watched your project all the way through and haven't yet commented!
Your attention to detail is impressive and exactly how I would want something done. I have exactly the same cage as you being TIG welded in as we speak so am looking forward to seeing it something like yours internally:)
Lol they don't recline so are no good:rasp:

I am free tomorrow, busy Tuesday with silly arrangements and free Wednesday
Also, I have a single air bed if thats any good for you but a double will fit
Mine is no where near packed and nothing is ready.
My to do list consists of:
-Removed passenger seat and fit Scott's Bimarco and harness
-Wash the car and underneath
-Check every bolt that I have touched in the last 6 months
-Re do the front wheel alignment, setting my camber and toe
-Try and...
That isn't alot at all Lewis
With 2 people in the back of mine, maybe 150kgs plus the fact that I have full interior in the back, my coilovers barely move, even so I just turned the dampening up to 6 clicks and actually gave a smoother ride than normal as it had more weight in it!
As long as your not running too much negative camber and toe out then the drive there won't wear your tyres hardly at all as it's all motorway driving.
Personally, I wouldn't bother running different tyres there
