I am going to get a massive bungee net thing from tool station for £9.99. Scott has one and is great so should keep all my items in check.
Also as I have now removed my seats, I will put a couple of hooks where the seatbelt mounts were to then give me 4 points to ratchet strap everything down
930kgs sounds doable.
You have your ally bonnet to go on yet and get that front bumper off and get cutting more holes!
Also you have loads more tar patches to come off yet and glass still in place where poly carb needs to be!;)
....oh and your exhaust has too many heavy silencers:rasp:
Was a nice day today so decided to set up the gazebo thing that I have and I found a tent in the shed so set that up too! Never erected either so was quite surprised at the results:D

I will try to summarise for you Vicky
We leave Friday 25th morning from home at 2:30am to drive to Dover to catch the 6:01am ferry booked through dfds to Dunkirk.
We arrive in Germany sometime on Friday and set up camp. Can't remember the campsite though
Saturday and Sunday we spend driving...
So now the shell has gone for a little while, it gives me a chance to start a few other jobs.
Not much to update tonight but have made a start with the exhaust. For those who don't know, it is an original Orbisoud cup racer exhaust that has seen a few too many curbs. I am going to straighten...
I know there are very mixed opinions about the whole pas removal, but this is only going to be used on track at speed for around 20 min sessions, it is going to be very light and my arms aren't the size of pipe cleaners so I'm sure it would be fine:p
ABS for me to remove is easy as I already...
Once I get the shell back I will cut some more. Ran out of time doing the others.
I am seriously contemplating removing the abs and pas. This is not "to save weight" primarily but to simplify the car and it's wiring loom. The by product if you like for me will be a bit of extra weight saved...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
James,
Was great to see you again on Monday and your team. Sorry we couldn't stay for the rest of the day but great to hear the impressive results, well done:)
Will see you next month in Wales
Rhys
Right:D
The car is now in the hands of Ashley at A S Heritage to have the roll cage and a few other bits done. Very excited to say the least and will be dropping by to get some progress pics next week.
It now gives me a chance to crack on with getting the doors and drilling/swaging more...
I can indeed although it is nearly fooked:( £7 and I would expect it to last a decent while but welds are hard, it still works but takes ages and you have to push very very hard. Can post it tomorrow if you want though?
I will also get a smaller swager soon so I can do the doors and a few other...
I had my 182 MOT'd on Saturday.
The EML is on and was one for the test. The tester said that it is NOT a fail but they have to advise that the cause is looked into.
Also whilst on the topic, mine is decatted and read 0.6 on the meter where it should be 0.2 or lower. The average reading I am...
