Yeah I've been extremely busy with work and then working on the Clio on the weekends so really not had much time to update the blog!
And yep, OpenStack is a great collection of technologies, well worth having a look. Easy way to deploy on a single machine is to use devstack...
Insurance never really makes sense to me, when I was with Admiral with my M3 it cost the same to switch over to my 172 Cup the next year.
Btw, really glad to now be insured with Neil @ Greenlight, extremely helpful and best price I could find.
I lol'd...

If it's the rear wheel bearing wouldn't it make more sense to replace it with a whole disc with pre-pressed bearings? Might cost a bit more but would be a lot less hassle, plus you get new discs ;-)
Wheel off (two metal pins on the rear), remove steering column cowling (3 screws, can't remember what size but are torx) and you'll see that both wiper stalks are held in by even smaller torx screws. There are two for each stalk and they slide out from the side, just watch the wires. There is a...

Oh yeah, FusionIO is seriously awesome, but only if you have deep pockets! Makes SSD's look like floppy drives!
Have you looked at OpenStack (www.openstack.org)? Comprises of an entire horizontally scaleable IaaS stack and it's free of charge, just uses commodity hardware rather than an...
SATA 3 is 6Gbit/sec (note, not gigabyte) which works out at a theoretical 572MB/sec. This is the theoretical maximum speed between the controller and the drive itself, not the entire controller; therefore RAID sets can exceed this drastically but will come down to the controller limitations, if...
Intel CPUs have considerably outstripped the performance of AMD CPUs, if I was shopping for a laptop I'd continue to buy Intel.
Few options really, I'd consider a second hand MacBook Pro on eBay as you can get a decent bit of kit for that money, especially if you do a bit of photo editing...

Chromebooks are great in terms of their form factor, battery life etc but it forces you to be connected to the Internet to do a lot of things. I'd have to ask what you do when you're travelling, you may be better off with an ultra book. Especially if you will frequently have access to power...
Download a lightweight Linux ISO, boot it up, type 'lspci' and record things like video cards, audio controllers, ethernet controllers etc. Then you know which devices you need to have Windows7 drivers for.
