most bits that has been carbon wrapped will be gel coated, anything which is a prepreg component from the likes of streamline carbon will be lacquered.
My car is just known as the Clio. However when I bought it the chap told me that if its called anything its called Jennifer as its reg ends JYN. :dapprove:
Powder free nitrile is what gloves you want to be looking for. I use them at work all the time, although there is one guy at work who has to use latex gloves as the nitrile ones bring him out in a rash.
I'd like to see a pic. Which longlife did you use? Ive seen some really lovely longlife exhausts on 306s and old minis but some really rubbish ones too.
Hit one last year, must have been doing 70mph. Smashed my splitter to bits and ripped the drivers side fog light out and was scraping the road hanging from its wires. no damage to bumper thankfully.
Freds system will be fantastic, Ive got one of the original yozza and the quality of the system really is fantastic.
The Piper exhaust also gets some positive reviews if you are on a bit more of a budget. I think Dan over Bedford way can supply and fit these.
All depends which one you go to, they are a franchise like powerflow. So you get good and bad ones. Unless you know somebody who has used them before then it is a bit of a gamble.
Not thought of fred@btm's new system?
A phesant smashed my original to bits, fitted a skoda one and yes it doesn't look quite as good but it looks good enough for the money.
As Chip said they are much more flexable, living out in the sticks means rabbits and pheasants are a constant danger so it was a no brainer for me.
I have vibratechnics engine mounts and to be honest I think they work great. They introduce a touch more vibration in to the car but I hardly notice it. Really tightened up the feel of the car. If fitted incorrectly though they can vibrate loads.
Hopefully sourced what sounds like a decent lump. A 172 lump from Gaz which was originally cupman29's.
Just got to arrange getting it from Glasgow to Staines.
James and mike have been fantastic about the whole situation and really are bending over backwards to help where they can, where as...
I remember playing lots of flight simulator 95 back when I was younger, along with combat flight simulator. I also enjoyed playing crimson skies (was silly but fun)
Honest answer is I don't know yet :S Only got the car recovered to MWM yesterday and I think the earliest Mike is going to get a proper look over it will be Friday.
I'm sure its not going to be a cheap day out, This engine that went was only fitted before CSS13 :(
Spent £3.5k two years ago buying it
Not long had replacement engine, belts changed, RS2 manifold fitted and mapped, new clutch.
Then there are consumables such as 2 sets of front and rear discs and pads, and tyres.
Now the replacement engine looks to have dropped a valve and made a mess.
At this point I don't know hopefully Mike will be able to get a proper look at it on Friday, if it can be rebuilt then if funds will allow that is the route I would sooner take. As I've not had much luck with 2nd hand units the 1st one arrived only showing 100psi on 2 cylinders and now the 2nd...
I'm to deep in to it financially to get rid so it will be back. Will be a new car once I'm done with it.
As lame as it sounds I could have cried last night
Well things just went from bad to worse!!
Some of you may have read the thread last night, but incase you didn't. I was just driving to work yesterday evening when as I came round a roundabout in town the car turns in to a steam train, massive cloud of white smoke and the car ground itself...
