I spoke to James earlier today and they did say him and Mike are willing to put in some hours to try to get it ready in time. Lots to do on it. Old engine is out so they have belts and dephaser to do on new engine, new clutch and gearbox oil, disks and pads up front, rear pads, fit rs2 get rs2...
I will know on Thursday if I am making it to CSS as my car is down with James and mike in Staines getting an rs2 fitted amongst other things. The reason I dont know if the car will be ready is my replacement engine was supposed to be delivered on Thursday 13th but its not turning up until...
Looks like a tidy example.
Got to say I'm not a massive fan of the stickers but that is personal taste, as long as you like it that's all that matters. Gives me something to look out for when I'm around MK.
Have you got any plans for the car?
They don't seem all that popular on here really. Looks like they only make them for 172/182 bolt fitting not 182 cup fitment too. There also seems to be two types the APF and the APX. Being £470 and £726 respectively.
Personally I'm waiting for cooksport springs to come in to stock and then I...
If I have have my car back I should be going, fingers crossed picking it up Friday 21st, I'd be up for a convoy down as ill be heading that way I think
Really need to see some photos.
Is it a full carbon bonnet or a metal one which has been skinned? as above don't really think there is much you can do. Has the dip always been there?
Hi Shaun,
I live in Brackley but work nights in MK. What colour is your 182? Don't see many about so will keep an eye out.
Look forward to some pics, Also £12 on club membership is probably the best £12 you will ever spend on your clio :)
This evening just before 8, waiting at roundabout to comeon to the a421 close to the waitrose depot. I was in a Chevrolet spark, shame I wasn't in my RB
Perhaps I am, that is what I get for working with the stuff I guess. I certainly could never have any for style over performance as I'd just spend all day looking for faults in it.
I would say to people looking to buy carbon parts if you are paying a premium for streamline parts then make sure...
I have seen that, it is wet lay wrapping. I have also seen members on here advertising items which have been wet lay wrapped selling them as streamline products. It is very easy to get weave distortion (which makes my eyes bleed)with wet lay wrapping as you are laying dry cloth down on to a gel...
I work with the real stuff all day every day, I have yet to find any that in the flesh looks real.
I also wouldn't even entertain the idea of either a real carbon or a fake carbon badge on my car.
My 182 has been faultless even with a 2mm gowge out of one of the cam runners, and scored to f**k cams the thing still ran well. That engine wason 117k miles. Engine is now out with a 59k one going in.
What is your job if you don't mind me asking? Just asking as your boss sounds like a total dick head. Surely unless he is paying for your car then it shouldn't have anything to do with him. sounds like you need a decatted Yozza :p
