Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
Cheers man, surprised it's been recieved so well to be honest.
Double sided sticky foam, always use it for reg plates looks miles better than screws.
Getting some 20mm at the end of the month, surprises me just how expensive spacers are, although you'll likely get most of your money back when it comes to selling.
Actually, any have any expeirence of spacing out the front end of a low ph1 with standard 15" Oz F1s. Pics would be great of...
My cousin in Ireland says they have had similar rules come in for their NCT (our MOT), a lot of modded cars failing even on simple things like aftermarket exhausts. I'd prefer to see a full write up of the requirements and go from there. After all, retests are free so if it's just something like...
A lot of otherwise reputable mechanics have messed them up in the past. Having the Renault tools is the important thing, which you can pick up from someone on here. There is always a set being sold and you'll always get your money back for them.
Re: Bren's Sunflower 172
ordered my 3/4 plate on Monday and it arrived yesterday from fancy plates. Measurements are 84x150mm as per the guide on here. Pretty chuffed with it, but looking at the pic I don't think it's on straight...
Behind me near Sainsbury's this morning, and in traffic on Regent road. Probably could feel their car vibrating thanks to a sticky TB and/or ICV causing my revs to stick at 2k.
I was in the sunflower yellow ph1
Hving had a compltely stripped out (one seat) tin can, a slammed VAG, a standard 172 and now a lightly modified 172 I think they best theme/mod to go for is OEM styling, very neat and tidy with nice wheels and coilovers. if it's something nippy, then an exhaust is Ok in my books. Like some pople...
This.
Ph1 are old cars now, so I'd recommend buying one with a good history. Proof of belts being done by a reputable specialist is a must. Previous owner of mine even sent me a picture of my car having the belts and dephaser replaced. £1500-1700 would see you get a tidy ph1 with all the right...
I had a similar problem a few years ago with Direct Line.
Had an accident 'non fault' in my car, and the car was written off. 6 months later when my renewal comes around I tell them I'm not renewing because I'm going iwht someone else. 10 minutes later I get a call saying that when they...
Depends on your budget. As a daily it's likely you'll want all the options, so a full fat 182 is probably best. However, I love the ph1's, so found a rare example... needed a little work, but I love it. It was also less than half the price my mate sold his FF 182 for a few months ago.
Most important thing is finding a tidy example. Especially if you decide on a ph1, which makes sense if you are looking for bang-for-buck. Saying that, some early ph2s are around the same sort of money, or not far off.
I'll be sure to pop along, not been to a CS meet in the Sunflower, driving meet would be alright but KK's is fine with me too.
EDIT: if it's a driving meet, I suggets snakes pass. Evo is a bit crap unless it's summer.
