I'm not so keep on the 8v S3 as the 8p, I think 4 exhausts is a bit much! The 8v is a much better car though so I'm sure it will be good.

You would be surprised! 1 years no claims at 19/20 should see a 197 insurance at under 1k in most areas. Obviously it depends on your driving history with regards to accidents etc & your postcode but they are fairly easy to insure compared to a 172 / 182 !

I thought you had turinis? Trophy turinis are ET 45, The lower the ET number the further the wheel sits in your arch. So with ET48.5 your will sit a tiny bit further out than mine. I would say 20mm would be ideal on the front & 10/15mm on the rear.

How low is it? I run 25mm fronts on the Trophy and have 0 rubbing issues. Possibly you might want to run 20mm but it depends how low you are really. Rear I would go 10 or 15mm max.
