Been a bit annoyed that my PB order still hasn't turned up, I ordered on the 2nd !
Got a text saying delivery would be made today but nothing has turned up and no cards left etc :(
Thankfully the weather is crap so I probably wouldn't be using anything anyway!
LOL!
It's how we are viewed unfortunately :( Although my 2 are rather loud TBH!
Although to answer the op you would be better getting something like a Ktec stealth as atleast they sounds half decent ;)
Tow eye's are far nicer:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-MK2-PH1-2-Stainless-Steel-Tow-Eye-172-182-1-2-1-4-1-6-cup-trophy-/130707400362?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1e6ec4a6aa
Don't fade like the tow straps either!
To be fair a cherry bomb is no more chavvy than a yozza / ktec to most of the general public. Most people turn around and think "Oh look a shitty clio with a loud exhaust"
And that goes for most people on here including myself lol!
You would be surprised!
1 years no claims at 19/20 should see a 197 insurance at under 1k in most areas. Obviously it depends on your driving history with regards to accidents etc & your postcode but they are fairly easy to insure compared to a 172 / 182 !
You should stick with your policy mate trust me! , I kept changing my policies over when I was 17-19 and that way you don't build up any now claims. I'm 20 now and only have 1 year! , Lowering your 1.2 will make no difference mate honestly your not missing out on much! , Iv'e been there & done...
Solid top mounts tend to make a knocking noise anyway which sounds similar to the noise you get from when the top struts hit the bodywork below (what you need washers for)
Mine knocks like a b**ch with AST's...
I thought you had turinis?
Trophy turinis are ET 45, The lower the ET number the further the wheel sits in your arch. So with ET48.5 your will sit a tiny bit further out than mine.
I would say 20mm would be ideal on the front & 10/15mm on the rear.
How low is it?
I run 25mm fronts on the Trophy and have 0 rubbing issues. Possibly you might want to run 20mm but it depends how low you are really.
Rear I would go 10 or 15mm max.
