on a grimey car I typically use VP citrus wash between 1-5 and 1-10. being generous over the panels, wheels and inner arches you'll get through a litre of mix pretty easily in a wash. so a 1litre bottle may last between 5 and 10 washes, but it can be diluted as far as 1-20 IIRC so will last...
any generic bottle will do, or use a pump sprayer from somewhere like B&Q, pump up to build the pressure and mist over the whole car. leave to dwell then pressure rinse off works fine with me
The rotating nozzle? Do not use that on the paint work. It is a narrow point jet not a fan, that spins at hight speed creating the circle. Get that near any kind of chip and you're likely to lift paint or clear coat.
I only use that nozzle for cleaning the path and brickwork
Washing the car with your favourite wax safe ph neutral bare shampoo will also have an affect in the long run. But I'm yet to see a noticeable premature failure of a wax or bonding contaminants from using a pre wash product compared to not
The whole debate over which is better, whether it be a pre wash product and pressure rinse or a snow foam and pressure rinse will never be answered.
But if you've just got your pressure washer, first try lightly rinsing the car then spraying citrus power or which ever pre wash product you have...

I'd also recommend the 90' under chassic nozzle. Makes much easier work for getting into the arches
Never used cancoat, but EXO v1 was similar principal and so easy to apply and remove. If it's lasts 6 months then it's a winner if it maintains it's water behaviour
That's the one kev, not really bothered with cleaner fluid but he's only half hour away. No what you mean about the titanium...
I've been considering buying another pot of something zymol for a while now. Nothing wrong with what I already have, but I'm just a bit bored I guess. Would either be carbon, although considering titanium as I now like a nice soft wax, although I spotted there's a used pot of shield for sale...
It's available now as the old version stock is finished

What would you compare it to? I have a habit of stocking a wide selection of QD's
I'm sure I was given a sample of RG 4x4 and don't really remeber it being all that much more durable if it is the one I'm thinking off. If you want that nice to use special feeling you won't be dissapointed by any zymol wax.
In the summer I tidied up my mother in laws run about, only washed once or twice a year with the washing up bowl, fairy liquid and an old dish cloth I kid you not! full pre rinsing, washing, de contaminated and washed again. Ran over it with clay and picked up a little, then the whole car with...

I'm a firm believer in the use of pre wax cleansers and their versatility. But is it only me that thinks he's not washing the car properly and thoroughly if he's removing this much grime from the paint with a cleanser?
