I've never been before and have heard the stories which is why I've changed my mind about running my car. Sod having drunk people staggering about the car so I'll be doing the full weekend but taking the mk1 :).
Welcome to cliosport :) unfortunately with misfires there can be a number of causes so unless you know someone who's handy with cars then you're better off taking it to a garage.
When I have one (long way off yet though) it'll be going in the clio. Can't see there being any major issues but if there were I've always got the 5 door RT. lol.
I see what you mean but apart from head work it's going to stay standard for originality. As they're a classic the plan is to restore more than anything.
Might be tempted to whack some carbs on though :evil:.
Finally got the head back after 3 months! Excited to have it back though and very happy with the work!
What's been done:
- Skimmed to raise compression
- Valve guides changed
- Stage 1 porting in both inlet and exhaust valves which'll see a nice gain of around 8-10bhp
