I came from a Fiesta ST to a 172. The Clio i find is noticeably faster from 3rd Gear onward's whereas the ST just ran out of breath. The ST was really good fun to drive and like most 'Fast' Ford's it sure liked to lift of oversteer when it could, the Gearbox in the Ford is a dream like all...
Both completely stock example's i'd say the Ek9 would be faster in a straight line and around the Track if driven by someone who can drive. IMO of course.
It's the locking nut that lock's against the Track Rod End, i'am after the thread size and pitch, example, M12, M14 etc. The thread is slightly wasted and needs re-threading so as to give a bit more adjustment when tracking.
