regardless of the name, Bodywerx in Radcliffe near me are brilliant. My mates iceburg 172 bonnet catch failed, the repair shop messed up painting the bonnet so he took it there. to repaint it and its a perfect match and a really good finish. Cheap too, 0161 725 9721 and ask for Jonah.

I'm not very mechanically minded so I'll have a look and see if I will be able to take it apart without breaking it, but its not promising lol. There is a knocking/tapping sound but after hunting around a bit I've found its in the frontpipe on the exhaust, so its probably a missing blade or 2...
Lol, the V8 will end up in there I promise. I am gonna get it into DCMS and see if they can sort it out, as it still runs its just got the misfire and lags until about 5k revs. The local mechanic thinks the lag and to some extent the misfire might be because I have a T28 on an otherwise standard...
yeh twin three spokes the ones im looking at are polished lip. They are advertised as a bargain price so with the money I've made from selling the Rota's I've bought a Front mount now I just need a boost gauge and to swap for a stage 2 chip and it should have some speed aswell, should have...
I didnt Watanabes came in 17s :o I've only seen them on a couple of AE86s and they looked 15s max heh. Either way I've just sold my Rota's and am looking at replacing them with some Advans lol

When I ran my 197 against my friends 172 it was completely even, who-ever hit the pedal first pulled a car length at the most ahead. Saying that though Christopher had me by a car length or so from a rolling start :(
For the record the 197 is even stevens with a 172, and a 172 is arguably even stevens with a cup. The differences come with the handling, the 197 is awesome and much better than my 172 is. I cant comment on trophy or cup though.

If you get an airfield it wont all be straight line surely? And even though might not be fun it would be a good way of showing that you dont have to have loads of cash to make a quick clio. There are loads of people on here who tell us the best mod is to shed weight from the car, yours or jords...
It might be an idea to get whiteley/Jords F4R'd mk1 down there to see how they compare to the ITB'd/SC'd/Turbo'd cars. At the last meet I went too Jords mk1 looked about as quick as Bens ITB'd mk2 but then they didn't go drag racing to see which is actually quicker heh.
