That's is one hell of a crash, hope they were ok! How these people have the balls to drive like that on tarmac baffles me! To do it on snow and ice is borderline insanity.
I would be up for a drive as once the colder months have passed I will be giving the suspension an overhaul, so will be looking for some new (better) roads.
Thanks for the reply mate, really appreciate the help! Mines does idle at 1000rpm when warm (all temps) but the rev limiter is definitely not 7.5k. I have said on cliotrophy that I was not sure as I have not been in a 172/182, so I have no benchmark for performance. If you use full throttle in...
Is it true that if it has been mapped that this is not very noticeable when you reach 5250rpm, as the torque curve has been smoothed out? I ask this as I don't get a "5k kick", my car just seems to increase it's rate of acceleration at a noticeable rate. Thanks
Looks proper quality that showroom! I have just bought a house and the loft is open plan with plenty of space. Might get grafting to be able to have something like this up there!:p
Ye that's me. I work up in the Rhondda. What car is your daily, I'll keep an eye out?
OP- Do the hillclimb races have specific categories or is it a kind of free-for-all?
Lovely bit of kit mate! There is a green one just down the road from me and even though I'm not a fan of the green paintwork, I still stare at it every time I pass it!
Saw what looked like a competition spec clio Trophy in Bridgend. Had sponsorship stickers on it but was moving too quickly for me to have a good look. Sounded amazing fair play! Can anyone confirm what car it was?
Thanks,
Steff
320-340bhp, 800kg and 4 wheel drive... Insane!!!
So to put this in perspective, an evo 8 fq340 weighs around 1400kg and is what most would agree, a very quick car. This car should be able to put the power down just as good and weighs 600kg less! Should get you up those hills mate haha!!!
Hi mate, I thought I would let you know that I had the exact same readings as you on my 182 Trophy from GotBoost about six months ago. The transmission losses are almost identical too. It lead me to believe also that my timing was out but the cars performance seems to be there or there abouts...
