Going back to this... The modified front struts held up perfectly at Rockingham the other week and show no more signs of wear. This is with running slicks too, so plenty of stress on them. I added 3mm to each mounting face of the shock so increased the overall thickness by 6mm. More importantly...
Exactly right. There's no way I could run around in mine daily. It generally sits untouched in the garage between trackdays. I get absolutely zero enjoyment from driving it on the road! So I bought le Meg avec b00st :cool:
How far in advance do you need to book a day off?
Trackdays are expensive, no 2 ways about it. And Cadwell is generally quite cheap in comparison to other places.
What about Oulton Park on 1st September? Via easytrack. £209 if you book now, £239 closer to the date. I can spare a place on...

Where/when are you able to hear the flywheel 'ticking', just when under the car or is it quite obvious? What gives away that the flywheel is worn other than the ticking, does it feel different to drive/pull away?

You can't just use a longer fork, you'll need the bracket to lift the clutch cable aswell as the larger pivot bush. Parts can be 172 or Volvo, Volvo part numbers are kicking about somewhere but I don't have them to hand.

Yep, Ph2's have the newer style badge on the right, ph1's have the 1*2 style on the left.
I removed my M E G A N E lettering and it cleaned the back end up nicely :)
