Seen the sticker in the rear windows. Looked like a rep as was a non sport front bumper.
Seen you as you was stopped at the junction by the police station.
I spoken to the manufacture of the device on eBay, they said it is possible to convert to just a switch but you need to install a resistor. It tells you have to go about doing so on the instructions
So you only need the key for the column to get the ignition barrel off? What ECU are you referring to ? The main ECU or a separate one ?
Got a link to the eBay box is tricks ,
Sorry mate I started reading your thread, I am not in a position to read all 37 pages so wanted a shorter answer...
If converting to EPAS will all you need a EPAS rack from a DCI and a controller box for the steering column?
Would it be possible to have the EPAS motor connected to a switch via a relay so you can turn it on and off? So for on the road have it on but on the track switched off.
Thanks
I am just curious, but how do they manage to slip a tooth. I know what actually happens it's just more the fact of how does it happen? Is it due to cambelt not being set and the right tension or something ?
1st is such a tight gear you only really use it when pulling off as you can do everything else in first. If moving slow keep it on second and use the clutch more.
